  • Short-term programs are typically one- to four-week international programs during the winter or summer break. 
  • For SDSU Faculty-Led Study Abroad programs (resident credit), please go to Faculty-Led Study Abroad.
  • The program options below are offered through our partner universities and through various independent programs. Students will receive transfer credit.
  • Freshmen who matriculated in catalog year 2018: Upper Division GEs can only be fulfilled through exchange programs where they will receive resident credit.  Therefore, if you are looking to only fulfill upper division GEs abroad, the following programs are not a good fit for your academic plans.

This summer program has 2 sessions, one in July and one in August. Courses are different in these sessions.

  • The undergraduate program consists of two courses which are taught consecutively over the duration of three weeks. Completion of the undergraduate program is worth 4 credits
  • The graduate program consists of three courses which are taught consecutively over the duration of three weeks. Completion of the graduate program is worth 4 Credits.

These courses are offered for July and August 2020 Session.

1) Week 1-2 (July 6-14):

a. International Human Resource Management (2 units) Management Elective 

b.  International Business Strategy (2 units) Management Elective

c. International Marketing with a focus on Integrated Marketing Communication (2 units) - May be petitioned but not guaranteed

2) Week 2-3 (July 15-24):

a. Negotiation Management - How to outperform others by effective negotiation skills (2 units) MGT Elective 

b. International Business in the Digital Economy - May be petitioned but not guaranteed

c. Entrepreneurship Camps - May be petitioned but not guaranteed

Graduate Courses: 

                     1) Week 1:  International Human Resource Management (1 unit) (Approved)

  • This is a customized summer program that runs for a total of eight weeks, but you can take as few or as many weeks as you like. 
  • The program is based on a combination of course work, company visits, and city tours. Each week, students may choose one of the courses being offered.
  • French courses are also provided for students who wish to participate, and accommodation with a French host family can be arranged upon request.
